The first Belper Greyhound Walk took place on 29/12/2010 and was a great success. The walk started from the Market Square with 8 greyhounds and 1 whippet.
Having left the square we walked through Belper Parks where some of the dogs went for a run. All the dogs behaved really well and enjoyed chasing each other through the park. Having left the park we walked over the fields to Shaw Lane with all the dogs still full of energy. At the top we walked up to the White Hart where after a few biscuits the dogs settled for a sleep whilst the owners enjoyed a beer - well until a packet of crisp was opened then several hungry eyes appeared.
